We know Beyoncé thrilled millions of fans when she killed it at the Super Bowl halftime show on Sunday, but there is one famous fan who Queen B, years ago, impressed even more.
Folk star Jewel, appearing on NBC's "New York Live" Wednesday afternoon, shared an anecdote about Mrs. Carter with show hosts Sara Gore and Jacque Reid.
The Alaskan singer recalled co-starring with Beyoncé on a VH1 “Divas Duets” in Las Vegas in 2003 and said she was expected to show some dance moves. Jewel admitted she was totally scared.
That's when Sasha Fierce stepped in, according to Jewel.
“I'll always be indebted to her because I didn't know how to dance... I'm a freakin' folk singer... I don't dance!” she said.
“She took care of me,” Jewel said of Beyoncé. “She stayed with me for like three hours after rehearsal. She really tried to make me look good and in this business, that just doesn't happen,” Jewel added, noting others “try outshine you... She was a doll! What an amazing person.”
We think so, too!
